Please download and review the Spirit of Giving Guidelines below for program eligibility criteria before submitting an application. If your family or a family you support could benefit from assistance, please click the “APPLY NOW” link below.
Important Reminders:
- The person submitting the application is responsible for arranging gift delivery if selected.
- The application consists of two required parts:
- Part 1: Applicant’s demographic information
- Part 2: Gift ideas for the applicant and additional family member(s)
- Both parts must be completed for consideration.
- Deadline for application submissions: Friday, October 23, 2026 — No exceptions
- The program is first-come, first-served, and a waitlist will begin once all spots are filled.

The Spirit of Giving Donor Portal will open shortly for those that want to shop for families but we will gladly accept donations to support the program at any time.
All donations, of any amount, are crucial to the success of this program- we thank you for your generosity! Please scroll down to where it says, “Your most generous donation” to make a credit card donation. For other donation methods, please contact us at spiritofgiving@aspirewny.org. Thank you!
Spirit of Giving
For over 25 years, Aspire of WNY has been making the holiday wishes of those we support come true through our Spirit of Giving program.
Every year, during the holiday season, we call on our community to help us identify the individuals and families supported by Aspire of WNY, living in the community, that would otherwise be unable to provide a holiday for themselves or their families (we support everyone living in the household of the supported individual).
In 2022, we extended the eligibility for this program to individuals receiving Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) services in WNY and their families who applied for support but did not receive a service from Aspire of WNY. All these gifts are shopped for and/or supported by generous friends both inside and outside of Aspire of WNY.
Every year, we have overwhelming needs within our Aspire of WNY community, with dozens of families who need support for the holidays from Spirit of Giving.
