TO ALL ASPIRE OF WNY CENTER FOR LEARNING FAMILIES, GUARDIANS, AND STUDENTS:
Good evening,
First, we apologize for the late-night message; we intended to send this information in the morning, however we received some questions from concerned parents about a situation that was brought to our attention on the morning of October 29th, 2025, and we wanted to let you know that October 30th’s school programming at Aspire of WNY’s Center for Learning is business as usual, and we are open.
Here are the details:
On October 29, 2025, Aspire of WNY received a communication from a former Center for Learning employee. The contents were directed at agency administration and Aspire of WNY’s reputation. Out of an abundance of caution and in alignment with our emergency management plan:
- We forwarded the messages to local police, the School Resource Officer, and the Erie County Behavior Assessment team for their interpretation, and they have agreed with the plan we’ve implemented.
- Consistent with past practices, we have requested the temporary presence of a hired security guard on-site at the CFL to support our safety protocol.
- We’ll continue to provide updates as we learn more relevant information. However, we can confirm that local law enforcement and legal professionals have advised that neither our students nor staff are the target of the concerned employee.
We will continue to work together and ensure we prioritize the safety and security of our community at the Center for Learning.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Megan Rechin, Vice President of Communications & Growth Opportunities at mrechin@aspirewny.org
Thank you,
Aspire of WNY Administration
