MEMO: 7 Community Drive Repaving Project, August 26th through August 30th. Alternate Parking Arrangements in Effect.

Hi team,

We are writing to let you know about an important update. This week, beginning on Monday, August 26th, and through Friday, August 30th, Aspire of WNY’s 7 Community Drive location will start to get paved in PHASE ONE of a total repaving project. Over the next month, the entirety of the parking lot will be repaved in phases, and more communication will be released as those phases occur. This communication is ONLY regarding PHASE ONE of the 7 Comm repaving project, and the alternate parking arrangements that are now in effect.

Please read this communication in its entirety, as it contains highly critical information.

Where is PHASE ONE?
PHASE ONE is the back area of the parking lot, to the left and back of the Evergreen Health main entrance.

What does this mean if I regularly park in that location?
No parking will be available in the PHASE ONE area during this time.

Where will I park?
Parking has been negotiated with our neighbors, the CPA firm up front, and the church next door. You can also park in the other designated areas of Aspire of WNY’s parking lot outside PHASE ONE. Street parking, according to local law, is also a possibility. To help understand where Aspire of WNY associated persons can park, please refer to the attached diagram. Absolutely no parking should take place in the indicated areas. Yellow areas are for staff, vendors & visitors. Pink and green areas are for individuals supported within Day Services, Evergreen Health, and the Article 16 clinic.
Will Aspire of WNY be open during this project?
Yes. All plans are in place to keep programs operating during the repaving project, including during PHASE ONE and other phases. If, at any time, a program needs to move to another location or we must close, that will be communicated to the agency.

How will you let our partners and neighbors know about this project?
We have communicated with our direct neighbors, vendors, and teams about this project. We will also use email, print materials, and web/social channels to communicate this project and its impact. Communication is vital throughout this project, so if you hear from anyone who needs more information, please have them contact Megan Rechin, VP of Communications & Growth, right away so that we can point them in the right direction.

Can I work remotely during this time?
If remote work is viable, your division’s VP will coordinate with the appropriate staff members. All staff must report as scheduled unless otherwise contacted by their division’s VP or their Director/Supervisor on the VP’s advice.

What about the safety of the staff and individuals supported?
A specialized cross-divisional team has been assembled to ensure the safety of our teams and the people we support. A safety plan is being submitted to OPWDD and other appropriate parties. Evacuation and fire routes have been considered, and any alternate safe spaces or meeting locations will be communicated division-wide. If you or anyone you support has any concerns throughout any phase of this process, don’t hesitate to contact Megan Rechin, and we will work to alleviate your concerns ASAP.

We are excited that this repaving project will help enhance the safety of our team and the people we support at 7 Community. We would like to ask for your cooperation and patience throughout this process. As we distribute more information, please read and stay informed! Our team and the people we support are our highest priorities.

We appreciate your time and attention while this project commences.

Thank you,

The Aspire of WNY Administration Team
