Cheektowaga Police Department Brings Sweet Treats and Smiles to the 7 Community Drive Day Hab Program!

We all know that cops love a good donut—but did you know they also love supporting Aspire of WNY? On January 31st, officers from the Cheektowaga Police Department made special deliveries to local Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) service providers in celebration of Tim Hortons’ collaboration with the Western New York Special Olympics. Aspire of WNY was honored to be one of the chosen agencies to receive a dozen of the exclusive 2025 Special Olympics donuts!

Officers from the Cheektowaga Police Department, along with K-9 Officer Davey, stopped by our 7 Community Drive Day Hab Program to hand-deliver the sweet treats. This year’s Special Olympics donut features a chocolate cake base, vanilla frosting, rainbow sprinkles, and a whipped cream topping—a treat that’s almost as special as the visit itself! Individuals supported by the day program, along with staff, enjoyed delicious donuts and plenty of puppy snuggles!

One of the highlights of the visit was a special moment for Dale, an individual supported by the 7 Community Day Hab Program and a huge fan of law enforcement. Known for handing out his own handwritten “tickets” and keeping a watchful eye on traffic, Dale was thrilled when the officers presented him with his very own honorary police badge. Talk about a dream come true! Way to go, Dale!

A huge thank you to the Cheektowaga Police Department for making an IMPACT in the lives of those supported by Aspire of WNY! Your kindness and generosity do not go unnoticed, and we’re so grateful for the strong community connection we share with you!
