Aspire of WNY Launches Into Trimania!

Aspire of WNY launched into Trimania, transforming the iconic Buffalo Arts Studio fundraiser into a cosmic spectacle! Trimania, a long-awaited celebration of the arts at the Tri-Main Building, made a triumphant return after a seven-year hiatus, and Aspire of WNY made sure it was a night to remember.

Guests of Trimania entered a portal to another universe when they stepped into the agency’s Day Hab space at the Tri-Main center. Plastered in neons, this outer-space themed art experience was the astronomical idea of Aspiring Artists from the agency’s iXpress Art Program. For six weeks, they crafted planets, painted sprawling galaxies, and experimented with mixed media to create a universe of their own. When the doors finally opened, fog machines swirled mist through the air, blacklights ignited celestial colors, and neon hues reflected an extraterrestrial glow.

Visitors immersed themselves in this intergalactic world, wandering through constellations of creativity and experiencing the passion behind each brushstroke, sculpture, and shimmering star of Planet Aspire. They became part of the journey, learning about Aspire of WNY’s mission to support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in realizing their full potential and living as independently as possible. It was a firsthand look at the power of creative expression within the iXpress Program.

Beyond Planet Aspire, the energy of Trimania spread through all six floors of the Tri-Main Building. Live bands filled the air with music, DJs spun their beats, dancers moved with grace, and artists—both emerging and established—showcased their talents in every imaginable form, from watercolor painting and rug making, to video game design and sculptures crafted from Little Tikes cars. Aspire of WNY’s artists and employees took in the spectacle, savoring moments of inspiration, cheering on fellow creatives, and soaking in the magic of the night.

“Trimania is such a fun night to celebrate our artists and their hard work. It’s incredible to see their art appreciated by the local community, and other esteemed artists who attend the event,” says Amy Holdnack, Coordinator of Day Services Opportunities at Aspire of WNY.

As the evening came to a close, one thing was clear—Trimania was more than just an event. It was a vibrant world of art, energy, and boundless possibilities, with Aspire of WNY leaving an unforgettable mark among the stars! Aspire of WNY is extremely grateful for the opportunity to showcase the incredible work of the talented artists in the iXpress Program.
