Aspire of WNY Enjoys Frosty Fun at ON ICE In Jamestown, NY!

Aspire of WNY’s On Ice event at Northwest Arena in Jamestown was an unforgettable evening filled with frosty fun! On Saturday, January 25, families and friends gathered in Jamestown for an evening of ice skating, curling, bumper car battles, and supporting our agency!

The fun kicked off at 6 p.m. as guests arrived and were welcomed with the chance to enter the drawing for a signed Buffalo Bills helmet from tight end Dawson Knox, generously donated by the Buffalo Bills Foundation ahead of the AFC East Championship game.

The ice rink was divided into two sections, ensuring plenty of space for different activities. One side was dedicated to open skating, where guests of all ages glided across the ice for two hours, with skate rentals available. On the other side of the rink, guests got competitive in curling or hopped into ice bumper cars—one of the biggest highlights of the night! Guests spun, bumped, and collided in thrilling bumper car battles, adding in a fun twist to this already exciting night!

Ensuring an inclusive experience for all, Jamestown Lakers Disabled Hockey provided adaptive sports equipment, allowing individuals of all abilities to be part of the fun!

Off the ice, guests warmed up with a buffet-style dinner and enjoyed unlimited beverages, including coffee and specialty drinks from Northwest Arena’s Hot Chocolate Bar. For those looking to unwind, a fully stocked cash bar was also available.

“The Aspire of WNY On Ice event has quickly become a highly anticipated community tradition. As we look to the future, we are excited to grow this event and make it even bigger and better in the years to come,” says Tracy Flagella, Intake and Outreach Coordinator at Aspire of WNY.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors: eVero Corporation, Independent Health, Southern Tier Brewing Company, Jennifer Ball, and Jamie McClellan. Their contributions played a vital role in making the night a success.

We’re beyond grateful for everyone who joined us for this magical winter celebration. Keep your eyes open for more exciting events—we can’t wait to see you again soon!
