Sunday Funday alert! To recognize and celebrate the hard work of all our employees across all divisions at Aspire of WNY, our agency’s Celebrations Committee organized an Employee Celebration Event at Buffalo RiverWorks on Sunday, July 14th!
Based on input from our employees, the agency organized this fantastic, family-friendly employee recognition event. Employees received two complimentary tickets and could purchase additional tickets for family and friends.
The event, held from 1 PM to 4 PM on a bright and sunny afternoon, provided employees with the opportunity to mingle both inside and outside the venue. It featured carnival-style rides, such as a Ferris Wheel and a drop tower, and employees had the option to sign up for time slots for the zip line and a ropes course as well.
Backyard games, such as cornhole, pickleball, spikeball, and giant jenga, were available for use in a private rink area inside the venue. For lunch, employees enjoyed a BBQ buffet consisting of hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, pasta salad, and other classic BBQ-style foods.
Each employee who attended was automatically entered into door raffles upon arrival. Raffle prizes included various gift cards, 2 Solo Stove and lawn chair sets, and even a certificate of any paid day off of the employee’s choosing. A 50/50 raffle of 140 dollars was drawn as well.
“The employee celebration event was a huge success. It was a truly special day that united employees across all divisions of our agency, celebrating all that they do to make an impact here on the individuals that we support,” explains Melissa Roth, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Aspire of WNY.
“The employee celebration event was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to relax, have fun, and connect outside of the workplace!” says Kelly Hyla, Employee Relations Coordinator at Aspire of WNY.
