Meet Barry. He’s a brother who wants the best for his sister, Debbie. Debbie lives in one of Aspire of WNY’s residential homes. She has a learning disability, but that hasn’t stopped her from becoming the “Queen of the house,” as everyone affectionately calls her.
Debbie lights up the room with her infectious laughter and love for life. She walks, talks, and dances with joy. But Debbie needs support to achieve her dreams – like going to the Erie County Fair, expressing herself through art, and staying connected with her family.
Barry knows how important it is for Debbie to have dedicated, well-trained staff who can help her thrive. He sees the difference Aspire of WNY makes in her life and worries about what might happen if funding isn’t grown for services that support his sister.
