Candy Tree was created in acrylics after looking through a book on landscapes; Laurie chose a sunset photo with a giant tree. From a photograph she spent hours with the art facilitator working hand over hand to create her own version with different shapes. She likes bright colors and was sure to add that into the tree.
Laurie would spend all their time at Brock in the art studio. She has wild and unique ideas ranging from painting to collage to sculpture. Laurie communicates by raising their hand for yes and lowering it for no, but her ideas are always made clear. She moves with ease around the studio pointing to the materials she wishes to use. Laurie is quick with a smile and her laughter can be heard down the hall.
