“Finding the Calm” by Jessica Mancari was a soothing endeavor by this long time iXpress artist. Having spent quite a bit of time on our own Chautauqua Lake personally, she seemed to relax-physically and emotionally-as she worked. With some light arm support, she used broad sweeping strokes of color and captured quite poignantly the calming effect that being on or near water can create. While gazing at “Finding the Calm”, perhaps the viewer will be transported to a place of serenity and comfort.
