WNY Woodturners + Aspire of WNY | A Valued Partnership for the Individuals We Support

The partnership between the WNY Woodturners and Aspire of WNY is so important to us and the children we support. The Woodturners is a members group who donates their time and material throughout the year to make bowls, tops, toys, ornaments, goblets, cutting boards, and many other wooden items to be sold at the Erie County Fair. 100% of the proceeds goes to WNY Make-A-Wish.

Children who attend the Center for Learning have been lucky enough to enjoy some of these handmade toys every year since 2002. Cathy Voyer, the Vice President of Educational Services, said “over the years we were able to make this an amazing holiday event for children of all ages. Students are able to enjoy caroling, food, and drinks while picking out just the right toy that is best for them.”

The woodturners also realized that not all children could enjoy the wooden toys, so they also provide large stuffed animals and baby dolls as well.

“Over the years we were able to make this an amazing holiday event for children of all ages. Students are able to enjoy caroling, food, and drinks while picking out just the right toy that is best for them.”

Over the past couple of years, the Aspire Chorus also put on an amazing performance on for the Woodturners, enhancing the special nature of the event.

We are so grateful for our partnership with the WNY Woodturners and can not wait for the next 20 years!
