We are looking to hire a Systems Engineer for our Getzville, NY location. Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining new and existing systems and infrastructure. Provide level 3 support to IT staff and Aspire employees. Systems Engineer is responsible for assessing systems, determining problems, providing solutions to issues that arise, designing systems, upgrading systems, maintaining systems and designing solutions to improve systems.

Provides complex technical support, planning and coordination for End User touch points of the distributed computer environment, including desktop, software and hardware installation, support and distribution, and remote access technologies

· Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).

· Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

· Evaluates the existing systems and assists with technical direction to IT support staff.

· Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

· Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

· Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

· Write and maintain internal policies and procedures pertaining to usage of institutional technology systems

· Oversee and provide operations support including account management, workflow, log analysis, troubleshooting and service optimization

· Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

· Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

· Liaise with vendors and other departments for problem resolution, project input, and troubleshooting

· Document all pertinent information using the appropriate call-tracking/ticketing system

· Develop and maintain documentation for supported applications, processes, and training material to internal employees and IT staff

· Participate in general IT operations and user support

Required Skills:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a Related Field and or 4+ years’ working in a similar role. Experience with Customer Service, Written and Verbal Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Attention to Detail, Analytical Thinking, Time Management, Working Under Pressure and Troubleshooting skills.

· Experience with Systems Administration of Windows Servers, Vmware(Vsphere), Azure, and Networking (Layer 2/3).

· Experience with Cloud Infrastructure: Microsoft 365: SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerApps, and PowerAutomate.

· Experience with and knowledge of operating systems and server solutions (Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services (RDS), IIS, AD). Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Enthusiastic positive attitude

Preferred skills:

• IT experience within a multi-location organization

• Advanced knowledge of networking principles and operating systems.

• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) highly desirable

• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) highly desirable

• VMWare Certification highly desirable

• Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions

• Experience with Fortigate or equivalent (Firewalls)

• Strong knowledge of Networking Topology and Design

• Systems Architectural design, and Network Security Administration.

• VMWare Certification highly desirable

• Administration Veeam
