Summarize your primary responsibility in one to two sentences.
To support every member of the Aspire community by guiding an HR
team that is dedicated to the delivery of programs and services in the
functional disciplines of employment, staffing, employee relations,
labor relations, workforce development, employee benefits, legal
compliance, compensation and safety.
Summarize your most notable contributions throughout your employment at Aspire.
Developed and directed comprehensive HR service delivery systems
throughout a period of significant program expansions that saw our
staffing increase from 860 employees in 1999 to over 1,550 in 2007.
How did your passion for helping people with disabilities come about?
Since I am not involved in a program that directly supports the
individuals we serve, my passion is for working for this great
organization. Joining Aspire was a purely serendipitous event which has
afforded me the opportunity and privilege to be in the company of a
community of people engaged in the most noble of human endeavors:
service to others.
What is the most rewarding part of working at Aspire?
The inspiration derived from observing the tenacity of the human
spirit to strive to overcome the most difficult challenges imbedded
within the human condition and the capacity of the human heart to
provide the needed strength and patience to those who serve.
Do you have any words of encouragement for parents of individuals with disabilities?
As long as Aspire is in the picture, you'll never walk alone. |
