Oversees the operations of the Housing and Residential Programs Division, including:
- initial inception of ideas for a new living situation
- development of the house or apartment setting
- oversight of staff and operations budget
- delivery of the residential habilitation services
Summarize your most notable contributions throughout your employment at Aspire.
- The overall size of the Division has actually doubled since the time I commenced employment.
- Have successfully won six HUD grants, each worth close to a million dollars.
- Stabilizing operations to enhance satisfaction.
How did your passion for helping people with disabilities come about?
In the late 70s, after trying teaching, I stumbled upon this field
where I could use my energy to make life better for other people.
What is the most rewarding part of working at Aspire?
The people, the people, the people.
What are your thoughts on the future of Aspire's services for people with disabilities?
We are the right agency at the right time. The folks we support
agree with that. We have a solid base that will see us well into the
future. |
