Aspire's preschool program takes an integrated approach to helping young children achieve their full potential. By providing services in the least restrictive environment, Aspire has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to fulfilling the individual needs of each child.Partnerships with eight area child care programs enable children with special needs to receive services close to their neighborhoods. All preschool students (ages 3 to 5) are integrated throughout the day with typical peers.
Each classroom team develops a curriculum that integrates physical, emotional, cognitive, language and social skills. The curriculum complements the Individual Education Program (IEP) for children with disabilities. A strong emphasis is placed on peer interactions and school readiness skills. Aspire's Preschool Program heavily leverages technology in its curriculum development. Our goal is to provide each student with the needed technology to make them as independent and successful as possible. Nursing services are available for students who have more challenging medical needs at Aspire Center for Learning in Cheektowaga.
