3rd annual Night on the Slopes
With snow crunching under foot, 275 people showed up for the third annual Aspire Night on the Slopes. Those who attended enjoyed a night of skiing, boarding and tubing at Kissing Bridge on Thursday, February 3. The event also included an all-you-can-eat buffet, featuring chicken parmesan and pizza as well as a basket auction. Many of the attendees were tubers and stated what great fun they had. "It is nice to get outside and do something fun in the winter time," said an attendee.
The fundraiser grossed nearly $15,000 in gifts and contributions. "It's nice to be able to offer a family friendly fundraiser to support Aspire. It's fun to see the kids faces as they wait around for the basket raffles to be drawn, hoping that they are a winner. We saw tremendous growth this year by nearly doubly the attendance from 2010 which is truly exciting," said Cassandra Donnelly, development coordinator. The presenting sponsor for the Night on the Slopes was Independent Health. Other sponsors included: Parkview Health Services, Walsh Duffield Companies and Grandview Construction.
Thank you to all who came and supported Aspire's second annual Night on the Slopes! Proceeds will support more than 3,200 children and adults with developmental disabilities served by Aspire.
