Turning Disabilities into Capabilities
Aspire's Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) Plan is an ever evolving process striving to ensure excellent quality services for all the people we serve.
What is the Purpose?
The QA/QI Plan was developed by the Aspire Quality Division and approved by the agency's Quality Steering Committee. The purpose is to measure and ensure improvement of quality care and services for Aspire's customers, and oversee quality initiatives. The Agency-Wide QA/QI Committee reports trends, survey outcomes, consumer satisfaction results and policy development to the agency.
How Does It Happen?
All quality, safety and improvement committees report any QA/QI activities to the Agency-Wide QA/QI Committee, which ensures a match with the agency's mission and vision. Trend analysis and follow up from identified areas for improvement are monitored, and the committee makes recommendations for process improvement and systems development.
What Tools are Available?
Each agency division has developed a service specific QA/QI plan that is outcome based, measurable and allows for data-based improvement decisions. Results of these plans are reviewed by the Agency-Wide QA/QI Committee. Other tools utilized by the Agency-Wide QA/QI Committee include: consumer satisfaction survey data and analysis, Quality of Life survey reports, safety survey reports, external review results, and Peer Review results. Improvements are driven by the data reported via these tools.
